More network adapter options missing from 22621.2428 Moment 4?

Can anyone else here confirm if Microsoft removed the More network adapter options from Related Settings in the Network & internet > Advanced network settings window?

I used this all the darn time and I can't see it anymore. Microsoft has been trying to hide the old Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections screen from us for years, but I'm sorry to say the one built-into the new settings windows just sucks. It's hard to read and I just can get to what I need way faster. I was accessing it via Related Settings, but it appears to be gone....or is it just me???

I still have it...

In the Taskbar search box, type: winver and tell us what your build number is.
Mine is 22621.2428

I see the same issue on the same build that you are running, but I suspect that they simply moved it. I don't recall exactly what was displayed under that option, but take a look at this to see if this is what you were looking for...

Under Advanced network settings expand one of the adapters. Under that adapter is a "More adapter options" as well as a "View additional properties". Do either of these get you what you were looking for?

@Ghot it's even stranger that you still have access to it....I just spun up a virtual machine and it was there and then as soon as I applied the October cumulative update it disappeared...so I'm guessing Microsoft stripped it out. Windows 11 really has been an awful affair from a UX perspective...

If I click on Advanced Network Settings, and then open up the adapter I'm interested in, it's there now. Same as post #3. Seems MS has moved it not removed it.

Yeah, it's moved. Seeing the exact same as @hsehestedt and @RFS show / mention.

That seems different than what I'm talking about though - the more "More Adapter Options" just brings up the adapter properties, whereas the link in my OP takes you to Network connections panel where you can see all adapters. A page I use frequently as I try to manage/enable/configure/test all my various adapters (I have many different VPN adapters to connect to different remote work sites, VMWare, multiple NICs, etc....)

I can always put manual shortcut to this on the desktop....but it was just nice to always be able to call it up by invoking the Networking System Tray icon. Interestingly enough, my Win11 test VM had it, I upgraded it and it disappeared, I uninstalled the update and it's still gone. Which makes me think this is all controlled via a registry setting...

I also find that page useful. When I plug my iPhone in to charge, the stupid computer often uses it as a shared ethernet. Drained my data once because I failed to notice it was using it. So I have to often tell the computer to forget that connection. I kind of recall not being able to find it and think I eventually went through control panel. I’ll have a look at my end when I am inside on my PC later today.

Interesting. Only thing I can think of is that they are slowly trying to deprecate all the stuff in Control Panel. I just wish that they would tear off the freaking band-aid and get it done. This process has been ongoing for YEARS now and requires you to constantly figure out "where did they move that to now?".

I wasn't going to mention that, but yes, the iPhone Tethering thing is one of the many things that I commonly have to jump into that page so I don't start sending all my data out through my mobile phone....

This is what I see in 22621.2134, and what it opens in Control Panel....

Yes, 'More network adapter options' has been removed in 22621.2428

But I can still get there through Control Panel >Network and Sharing Centre > Change adapter settings.

I have control panel pinned to my taskbar. As Microsoft hasn't yet integrated the useful options within control panel into settings, it seems necessary to have the quick access.

A faster way to get there might be to make a shortcut to it directly.

From List of Commands to Open Control Panel Items in Windows 10

control netconnections will open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections directly.

You can use control netconnections in the Run dialog, or you can make a shortcut on your desktop, and when it asks you to enter the location of the item, simply enter control netconnections and then name it whatever you want.
