New GPU driver can detect 2nd monitor

I have two monitors on my system And shortly after upgrading to Windows 11 1 of my monitors started to go black for about a 2nd once a day. It would come back right away so I didn't really bother me that much but I still looked into it and everybody said to download the latest drivers for my graphics card which I did. I did notice it on my 2nd monitor a few times but not every day.

I just downloaded the latest driver and during the install I did a fresh install so that it uninstalled all my previous versions and profiles. Now when I rebooted it doesn't detect my 2nd monitor and since The display section is different than Windows 10 I'm not sure how I get Windows 11 to detect my 2nd monitor. There was a detect button in the display section which I did click on but it says it cannot detect another monitor. I would appreciate any help on getting this fixed ASAP because now everything from both monitors is clogged up on one monitor.

I’m yet to read a fix, but this issue seems to be popping up everywhere.
I run 6 monitors, one or two of them go dim on occasion and don’t recover from that state sometimes for a while. Could be my monitor, but it was immediately after upgrading to Windows 11.

Try unplugging the cable, re-inserting it. Also, swap the cables on the monitors so you can be sure it isn’t the cable that is bad. If the swap causes the first monitor to not be detected, it’s the cable.
Did you reboot after driver upgrade?

Also, you already posted about this.

Try unplugging the cable, re-inserting it. Also, swap the cables on the monitors so you can be sure it isn’t the cable that is bad. If the swap causes the first monitor to not be detected, it’s the cable.
Did you reboot after driver upgrade?

I think it might help others reading this if you state what the graphic card is, what the monitors are an how you are connecting your monitors to your PC

It was the new GPU driver, I installed the one before I had pervious and now I got both monitors back. Not sure if I will have the previous issue of one of my monitors going black for a second and coming back.

Nothing changed in my setup or how it was set up or connected since I had Win 10 the original problem of my monitor going black for a second once maybe twice a day started right after I upgraded to Windows 11. I would like to go back to Windows 10 but I think it has been too long. Anyway I figured out it was the wrong driver that I updated trying to fix the monitor issue. I installed the previous one and now all is back working properly. I won't know about the monitor going black for a second every day or so until it happens. I switched my cables so if it happens the other monitor should be affected now unless the port on my GPU is not working properly.

Hasnt ever popped up for me on windows 11 and ive been on since the first ever build released to the public across 3 different clean installs running 2 and 3 monitors and never experienced this, First i've read of it too

Hasnt ever popped up for me on windows 11 and ive been on since the first ever build released to the public across 3 different clean installs running 2 and 3 monitors and never experienced this, First i've read of it too
It is always good to read that others don’t have the same problem as you do, it gives one hope.
The fact that so many results show alleged fixes for exactly my problem (which none have worked), says that I am not alone. Some are luckier than others.

Oh i didn't say at all that the problem doesnt exist...Of course it does, Google pretty much nearly anything and you'll find it. I didnt dispute that, I just said that its not something you see very often or in my case, in the years this forums been open, there hasn't been page after page of this issue, therefore what im saying is it doesn't pop up on here regularly. No need to get the pink panties in a twist! Hope you can see this text through the dimness of you're monitor. It does seem to be more hardware/driver related than it does windows 11.
