Fix what ?

.scr files are typically Screen Saver files. Are you trying to run a screensaver?

I have the same problem after i removed a virus/trojan with avira. Is there a way to fix or should i follow windows support instructions and reinstall windows with saving my data?

I have the same Problem. It#s definetly not a Screen saver File.

It's a temp file. Did you clear your temp files? If you did that's why it cant be found.

Have you used Open Broadcaster Software?

There should not be a temp or tmp folder in the root of the drive so I would delete it.

Normally the only places that I know of that have a temp folder are:

C:\Windows\Temp
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Temp

I have a C:\Temp. It holds a few things I've run but is necessary for my system. It looks like you're sounding an alarm. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I am also having this issue. Assuming it is the same as the others, it wasn't as simple as running a single executable and occurring this error. It happens, at least for me, about every 30 seconds. The error will appear and block the screen constantly, replacing the file with anything will either open it, or constantly take the focus off of whatever the screen is from. It happened personally after I downloaded Visual Studio Code, but I was unable to find any viruses through multiple virus scans.

I am having this problem since Nov 29 even though I am win10.
Yesterday I use Rov and found out a malware like obs studio however I never installed this app. Rov delete the malware and the error stopped pop up whole day however it still happening today.

I wonder is it a malware accidentally installed in your pc. Did you downloaded anything recently?

You should use event viewer to see what creates those errors.
I recommend that you disconnect temporarily from the internet while you do some cleanup.
This could be malware, so disconnecting prevents it from returning.
Check your startup programs, your scheduled tasks, services without description, these registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartupApproved\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
This path, (unhide all files in explorer options)
%AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

I have OBS here and there is no sign of obs64.scr anywhere on this PC and no popups or anything odd.
Might be worth checking in services for anything OBS related.

I'm thinking this might be more a case for BleepingComputer to sort out.

whats rov?

From November 28 to the present date this OP shows no interest in solving this issue for themself. FYI I have never seen this on any of my system builds. Although this thread is maybe helping others. Good thing? Let's wait and see.
