Hi,
Like many of you I work from home which means I have a couple of work devices going as well as my personal device.
I have a work laptop connected via wifi.
I have a work desktop connected via ethernet.
I have a personal laptop connected via wifi.
I've noticed that my personal laptop hogs all the bandwidth - even when it's just not actively being used (but awake still).
As a result network activity on my work laptop and desktop goes really really sluggish.
I can view network activity on my personal laptop and it is absolutely minimal yet the other devices struggle.
As soon as I put my personal laptop into airplane mode everything works absolutely fine.
My work laptop doesn't behave like that at all - I've tested it by downloading a large file and while network responsivity is affected on my work desktop it's nothing like what I've described above.
Both laptop devices are connected via 5Ghz.
I've tried messing about with QoS on my router (Archer VR600) by setting my personal laptop to take up only 10% of the available bandwidth but that seems to do absolutely nothing. Or I'm not setting it up correctly but I read a guide and I'm reasonably confident I did it correctly.
