Hi!
Almost everytime I open Device Security it generates an error log 7034 in Event Viewer.
I'm experiencing the bug where AMD TPM not being recognized most of the time, but I'm not sure if this is related to the same problems people are experiencing with Windows 11 Device Security right now.

Should I worry about these errors?

Try disabling amd ftpm and check if it still crashes.
It seems to be a problem related to TPM & (probably) amd.

and tbh I do not think that we get a fix anytime soon, as it seems that both amd and microsoft don't think the issue is urgent.

Sure, I'll get to it when I'm at the computer next time!

Problem with my ASUS motherboard is that I only have 2 options. AMD fTPM or discret TPM. Since I only have AMD's firmware TPM it defaults back to that one by itself after reboot. No option to disable it unfortunately.

My guess is that this is related to the updates to Microsoft security health these last few months. LSA-error, Core Isolation and TPM disappearing just to name a few.

Do you have an AMD processor and experience problems yourself?

yes i do, for me the problem started after a security update.
Windows security loves to crash now when opening the core isolation and security chip settings, before that i only had the problem with tpm disappearing (but it was actually still active and worked).

So many windows 11 user now have problems, you can read about it in this forum and other websites.
It seems to always be amd ftpm related.

Most likely!
Then you probably have the same error in event viewer as me.
What happens if you go to Event viewer -> Windows logs -> Right click on System -> Filter Log -> and search for ID 7034?

i get a different error ID 7031 SecurityHealthService.exe terminates and restarts after 6000 millisec
you can read about this issue here:

Windows security crashes for me as soon as i click Device Security, as long as i ignore this tab it works fine.

No 7034 errors related to Windows security at all?
Weird. I don't know how much of a market share AMD has compared to Intel but one would think it's a significant amount of people experiencing these errors and that AMD and/or Microsoft would like to do something about it.

I have an ASUS board here (X570-E, not mine) that hasn't got fTPM enabled in BIOS.

@Yeahoww

What is the make and model of your motherboard?
And what BIOS version are you running?

You can find both on the Mainboard tab of CPU-Z

The ZIP version is the portable version.

probably alot of people dont even know or utilize tpm and check windows device security if it works properly.

So this problem can pass by the casual mass.

i guess your windows-security also does not crash when fTPM is disabled.

Nope it doesn't. My pc is an Aorus Xtreme, the Security crashes whether I use the FTPM or discrete. I've disabled both on my system

Does it still crash even if you have tpm disabled?

I can not check discrete as i do not have a external tpm chip and the only option for me is the ftpm software option.

So we can just hope microsoft will fix the permanent construction site named "Windows-Security" & "TPM"

funny considering tpm is required for win11.

Is this bug back? Defender showing a "Actions Recommended" warning, but everything is a green checkmark. Occasionally Windows Security Health Service crashes when i open defender as well, and usually takes half a minute or so to recover.

I think the issue has to do with TPM as i sometimes have a "There is no TPM available" error, but it does correctly show the TPM i have.
