Does this not remove all users from the users allowed to use GPEDIT?

No. It just resets GPEdit to default. Any other settings will need to be re-applied. Strange thing was I had the exact same issue after an update, checked through GPEdit and all the settings were showing to be as default, so I ran those commands and it fixed the issue.

That warning in the OP likely means a corporate oem licensed copy of windows has been installed. Probably need to purchase a retail/home licence?

By the way I hope you don't mind me asking but what do you think of the Framework laptop?

what do you think of the Framework laptop
I just got my framework laptop a couple weeks ago. It's great for me. But it's probably not for everyone. I'm not much of a gamer. I do mostly office apps. The main selling point for me was the ability to easily open it up and replace parts when they break. I always build my own PCs. And because of my job, if I have a broken laptop, I can't just mail it in to some place for 14 days. I want to be able to work on it and fix it immediately. But this isn't always possible with modern laptops. So the modularity was the main selling point for me.

It's not perfect of course.

In the forum you can see people complaining about connectivity issues with its 4 ports. I had an HDMI port that didn’t work when it arrived (blinking monitor). Still not sure why. When I moved it to a different slot it started working. The word in the forum is you really gotta baby their 4 ports. Hopefully they’ll improve them in the years to come. But since I use a “Plugable 16-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 Dock” it doesn’t really matter. I got 4 monitors and 2 huge USB hubs hooked to it just fine via the Thunderbolt 4 Dock. Framework recently got their Thunderbolt rating so that was the impetus for me to buy.

Only other annoyance is the oddly annoying fan. Like many laptops, it has a down-facing fan – which kinda makes it too hot to use on your lap. Most importantly, the pitch is kinda high, even when not using much CPU at all. I’m actually in the process of building a sound-dampening laptop stand right now with acoustic foam and thick plywood. So it won’t bother me much. But if someone was in a classroom or a quiet office or a recording environment, the fan might get annoying.

But I’m happy with it for my applications.
