Do they show in Disk Management? My drive that starts with \\ is a NAS drive attached to my Router.

These aren't appearing on my Windows 11 machine, however, it seems that they're symbolic links to storage volumes. If you run a registry query on the following:

Rich (BB code):
reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\CPC\Volume" /s >> %userprofile%\Desktop\Volumes.txt

Could you please post the Volumes.txt file to your next post?

If you examine the Data values of one of the aforementioned keys, then you'll find the corresponding subkey underneath:

Rich (BB code):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\STORAGE\Volume

In my example, it was:

Rich (BB code):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\STORAGE\Volume\{1b99e70c-f159-11ea-9d13-806e6f6e6963}#000000737C200000

@Fabler2 What is the output of the below for you?

Rich (BB code):
reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\CPC\Volume" /s >> %userprofile%\Desktop\Volumes.txt

I know that the dfrgui.exe (Drive Optimiser) process enumerates that registry key so I'm wondering if there is something set there which causes the other volumes to be shown?

Could be just another bug or 'feature' of the OS due to poor MS software QA which they will probably never fix?

I have one of those... it's my optical drive...

I solved this issue.

Here are the offending drives as listed under Optimise Drives:
odd drives.png

I ran the command mountvol which showed the current mounted volume IDs for the odd drives in question:

\\?\Volume{462984e0-91d1-11ee-93b0-2c33585fef7e}\ I:\ (USB port in Epson ET-8550 printer)

\\?\Volume{462984e1-91d1-11ee-93b0-2c33585fef7e}\ J:\ (USB port in Epson ET-8550 printer)

\\?\Volume{7b5be078-dd20-11ed-9266-806e6f6e6963}\ H:\ (Blu Ray drive)

Therefore Optimise Drives is detecting the USB ports in my Epson ET-8550 printer and BluRay drive as drives capable of optimisation which is clearly wrong. I assume this is just another epic Microsoft bug which they might to choose to fix if we are lucky. There is nothing more I can do until Microsoft fixes this bug.

I also found the useful utility diskext from Systinternals
DiskExt - Sysinternals

Run diskext from a command window.

Here are my drives as shown in Explorer.

One is the BluRay as posted, the others are definitely the Epson USB ports as I posted. Advanced view in Optimise drives shows two additional drives which are the hidden system partitions you mention
