I agree, it's a nice OS and offers lots of promise for future development. So far I've enjoyed using it and I haven't had any major issues.

I have never had any issues with 11 other than than the common can't type into search box, fixed in later version. I think a lot of it is because I used a brand new machine, set up perfectly on 10 then upgraded to 11. However, I will not be changing my main pc's from 10 to 11 anytime soon as 11 does not suit the things I do so well. also it needs a lot more development to iron out small issues. I cannot believe it is not closer to 1o as that has been tried and tested and many features are the same.

Yes, me too. It's almost time for me to wipe my System One's current test install of W11, restore a system image of my main machine's W10 and wait for Windows Update to offer it the upgrade on or after the 5th.

Yet, my Windows 10 Senior Citizen students told me about Windows 11 (Of course I already knew), so I'm sure it varies.

The source of this poll is rather bothersome to me. I would assume that if the poll were run by, say, ZDNet, the results would be far different than what we see here. Sooooo, polls aren't really all they're cracked up to be.

Of the 6 physical computers in the house, 3 meet the requirements, 3 don't. Regardless, I probably will just run 11 in VM's for a while.

The source of this poll is rather bothersome to me. I would assume that if the poll were run by, say, ZDNet, the results would be far different...
This 'poll' asks the hardware, not the user. With 1.3% of the world's Windows PCs already on 11 even before the launch, looks like takeup may be brisk

I agree it is a good number of users. I always question surveys because you have to know what population of individuals they're questioning. That's key for a decent survey and results.

Bottom line for me will be my students. At this point, around 70% of them have Windows 11 capable PCs while 20% don't.

That said, with no actual poll taken, I'm pretty sure most of them will stay on Windows 10 for the time being.

I also prefer W11 to W10 and have a second machine with slightly higher spec running W10 pro 64 but not in the insider program ready for the rollout. I will just wait until Microsoft gets around to it. I have a third pc which would qualify, but don't have a copy of Windows for it, so it will be running Mint.

I prefer 11, but I have an incompatible machine and I don't want to upgrade for some reason:
  1. I don't have money to upgrade
  2. I will support my machine until it dies
I have an copy (ISOs) of 10, 11, Some linux distros (Arch Linux, Pop!_OS, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Elementary OS), Android, WinPE, and some old piece of operating system (WinNT 4, Win2K, OS/2 Warp).

I have 3 keys, 1 used. I dont know what I will do with it.

Windows 11 Pro x64 [Latest Release Preview]
Microsoft have been offering me the upgrade through Windows 10 update for a week now, It was first offered as 22000.194 via the Release Preview, then a day later the offers through WU started - I'm not ready to install it yet, I'm too busy with other software releases and don't want to skew tests, so I say I'm sticking with Windows 10 for now, and the offer disappears for a day or so then it's back
