Windows 11
Hi (and thanks) to whoever reads this (and responds). I am on Windows 11 (Build 22621.2361; still named 22H2). I am up-to-date with Windows Update, and live in North America. I am still not seeing Windows Copilot, nor am I seeing any changes in Paint (after having heard about the new AI capabilities and layers). I do see the new settings window (not a fan of how they put the Microsoft 365 thing front and center, though). I am using a local account. No Microsoft account. I don't understand why I'm not seeing the new Windows Copilot feature. Why is that? I also believe I saw someone else post about how their friend's computer didn't get everything while they (the original poster) got everything. This has got to be the worst update rollout in Microsoft's history.

Quite a bit of confusion going around from what I can see. Help?

Copilot is being rolled out over time. It may be possible to force an install immediately, but I don't know how. Most Windows 11 users will have to wait for their AI Copilot

I installed 22621.2361 on 3 systems as an update, using an ISO. I got Copilot on all 3 systems.

I believe that AI Paint isn't available yet for released version of 11. Microsoft now rolling out AI-powered Paint Cocreator to Insiders.

It appears that AI Paint will be a new revenue source for MS (if you make frequent use of the AI features).

I wish that Microsoft was clearer about their releases.

Thanks. I missed that.

I hadn't looked, but I thought it likely that there'd be a leak.

Not sure I want/need it, but it's a mere 60MB download.

Thank you to everyone who responded. Looks like I'll have to wait for Copilot. But I wish Microsoft (and media sites) explained this more clearly during the lead-up to the release of the update they sent out on 9/26. There's been a fair amount of confusion online, which has prompted a few news websites to clarify what's actually happening. Frustrating. Was looking forward to trying Copilot, too. Oh, well ...

With 22621.2361 and 22631.2361, copilot only shows up if you login to Windows with a Microsoft account.
I had several machines with Local Accounts and never got Copilot till I switched the windows login to a MS account, after that it showed up on next login.
After I got Copilot, I reverted the user to local account and Copilot remained available. 😂🤷‍♂️
This was never the case with Dev and Beta, where I got Copilot directly with local accounts and still working that way.
MS A.I. logic! (aka Absolute Idiocy logic). 🤣🤣🤣🤣😵‍💫😝

Note that the 3 features below were enabled even before Copilot finally showed up. 😎 😂🤷‍♂️
