control panel font size

Hi... I wanted to create a system image copy on a HP laptop and when I started Control Panel I could hardly
see the display since the font size was so small. Is there a way to change the font size in the Control Panel
and the lower level panels as well ?

Also, is there a way to create a shortcut for the Backup and Restore panel on the desktop? I was able to do this
in Windows 10.

If you like, you might see if the "Windows Backup and Restore" context menu added by the tutorial below may work better for you. It can also be used in Windows 11.

To answer the other half of your question, it seems the fonts in control panel and registry editor are hard coded. The only way I have found to make those fonts appear bigger is to change scaling which affects everything. Even then, the fonts in both those areas are way smaller than anywhere else. See comparison of my settings at 150% scale.

FYI Even MS strongly suggests users use other methods of backing up than that old windows 7 method of backup and restore

If you change from small icons to large icons, this makes the text bigger too.

Backup and restore is now deprecated ie, you should not use it according to Microsoft. Use Macrium Relect Free.
