Hello so for 2 weeks now I’ve been battling with my computer trying to figure out what is going on.
So far I do an sfc scan and it says I have corrupted files
Then I do a chkdsk /r scan and it does it’s think and it says I still have corrupted files

So far I’ve been using it like normal but my discord doesn’t open and my chrome acts strange too not loading up certain things

I’ve restarted my os a couple of times and have maybe come to a conclusion it’s got something to do with a os corruption im not able to see or figure out
Im
Asking help to eliminate this issue if possible please and thank you.

I’ve tested my memory and they were fine my drives I haven’t and don’t know how
Sfc scannow worked once and said everything was fine and the next day it said my files were corrupted it seems like overnight or when I load up my pc it does something and I have no clue how to look at the specific problem I’d this makes sense

Rn I’ve ran a disk/online/cleanup image /restore health
And that went to 100% and was completed
Then after I ran a Sfc and it said it found corruption and but couldn’t fix them
Then I ran a clean up image checkhealth
And it said no component store corruption detected
I’m confused to if there is corruption and if Sfc is even reliable??!

SFC is for system files (mostly within windows folder, subfolders and others)
DISM is for the image (mostly apps and store components)
They do different thing and are very reliable but they are not magical tools.
You should do from cmd as admin chkdsk c: /r /f
Let it restart, let it do its fixes and then see.
It might take a while.

Honestly, the only way to be 100% safe is to perform a format and fresh install of Windows. . . That's the only 100% way for it to surely be fixed. I don't mess with all the SFC Scans, etc. Fresh install takes less time, and it's a 100% guarantee fix.

The installs of windows I’ve done is downloading the install media to my usb from a laptop and installing windows from there and I’ve done that 4 times recently and each time I’ve had the same problems with my files and corruption
Is there a different way to format and fresh install?

My next thought is does he have a Virus or Malware or something like that? Have you run any good antivirus/antimalware program to check?

The only thing I’ve used is the Windows security and the quick scan and it says it’s fine no threats
Is there a certain malware checker I can use?

Have you gotten the files from Microsoft? Create Windows 11 Installation Media

If you clean installed Windows 4 times and still have the same problem, I suspect that the drive is going bad.

Very good point. Bad Sectors, especially if it's an HDD an not an SSD
