Is my Samsung Evo 970 Evo Plus 500GB Too Hot?

All my fans seem to be working

Dust cleaned out as best of my ability Monthly

Thermaltake V200 TG RGB Case
(Top Fans not installed as yet, plan on affording some soon as i can)

Yeah plan on someday getting it to local shop and getting case swapped 1 final time, hopefully to one with Better Cooling,

Possibly replacing Rear Exhaust fan soon as i can afford to with Arctic P12 Fan, and maybe if i have Micro Center do the work 45 minutes away, replacing CPU Cooler at same time as well

I'm not good at it myself, i tried to install a Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 In May 2022 and failed, so settled on Arctic Freezer 7X For CPU Tower Cooler as My Family that provided the RIde was not gonna go back to Residence and get the Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 i forgot to take along to local shop to see if they'd install it at the time

Gonna try if i can get peace in RL sometime soon for deeper dust clean out of the fans, but most of the time i don't get peace much

Is your M.2 bare? or does it have a heat sink? Mine came with a heat sink and stays at 40c+ range,

No Heatsink, Bare as Samsung had no heatsink with it, nor did Motherboard

Motherboard is Gigabyte B460M_DS3H Rev 1.0

1 M.2 Slot
Above Video card, and between/behind CPU Tower Cooler

Well soon as i have more funds available, will get system up to local PC place and get it transferred to a better Cooling case once and for all--thinking Corasir 4000D Airflow, and pray it fits on my Desks bottom shelf area--though this case does, so i imagine that newer case would.

As don't think anything else i can do besides that to improve things really, not sure if buying the top fans first will help or hinder as yet

**No A/C On this evening, Outside Temp 72 Right Now, was like 83-84 out earlier.

Guess i should've bought a Western Digital M.2 SSD with Heatsink in December 2020 after all, well guess i could still do that, and clean install my Windows 11 Pro, if i can find a Pcie 3.0 Western Digital Black M.2 WIth Heatsink to purchase lol, if i end up not able to afford the case swap or get a ride to shop to do that step.

Save your NVMe. Use heatsink.
Aluminium once are good, copper once are better and thinner.

You can always get one of those M.2 heatsink from Amazon.

CPUID HWMonitor shows both, but I've always preferred computer temps in Celsius.

This case height wise just fits lol, just enough room to use the front top usb plugs
Here is a picture from when i was using it on Windows 10 back before WIndows 11 launched---Literally just fits down there lol

As a test you could move the M.2 drive to the second, lower slot below the GPU, that way the heat from the graphics card would be less (heat rises after all). Nand works best at between 40 - 65 degrees centigrade, the controller temp is the crucial one to keep an eye on as once that gets to a certain trigger temp the controller will throttle down, do you know which component temp is being reported?
If that temp is when the drive/ system is idle then yes, you need a better cooling solution, I can recommend the 4000D airflow as a reasonable cost case with really good cooling, two - three front intake fans, one rear exhaust and one top rear exhaust should be ideal for your setup, IMHO.

There is no second m.2 slot on my motherboard as far as I'm aware of. That was temp during light usage, just Browser open, Secondlife game, and Skype and Discord.

As when I installed this M.2 didn't see a second M.2 slot, nor did Manual say there was one.

Yeah Gets the Corasir 4000d case as soon as I can and won't have issues like I have in this case I'm sure

((this is after being idle a bit after exiting all gaming, and system just doing maintenance tasks))

I have the same NVMe and the temperatures stay at a maximum of 50-60°C. (120°F-140°F] Usually when I'm playing something and there are several tabs open in the browser. Much lower when idle. The games are on another NVMe.

The case has one fan at the front and another at the back. But the cpu fan is quite efficient and it helps when NVMe is there between the gpu and the processor.

Ah, my error, I was looking at the AC version of that board which does have 2x M.2.

It's America. . lol We don't use the Metric System. . lol I know some people do though. I just never learned it and never will. . lol It wasn't taught in schools when I was growing up, so it's jibberish to me. . hehehe
