Solved Make Win 11 Pro USB SSD Bootable

Something else is happening. I was going to try an in place upgrade with my Win 11 USB flash drive but it told me it couldn't be done on the USB drive, I then decided to do a clean install, just to see if it would boot but it wouldn't allow that either.

The Win 11 install drive had just been created with the media creation tool so its the latest version.

You would need to be booted into the os on the usb attached device to perform an upgrade install on it.

I can't understand everything on my laptop speakers.

Also, I can't follow the tutorial, booting with USB Windows to try your fix.

Success! I'm posting this from the USB OS.

The fix. I was connecting through a Dell TB4 dock and that was the problem. I disconnected the dock and connected directly to the PC's USB C port and it booted.
