Merge partitions into 1

I have a 2tb WD HD. It was split into two drives but now I have 5 partitions
The first is a 499MB Recovery Partition
The second is a 99MB EFI System partition
the third is a regular HD with 952.59GB NTFS
the fourth is a 693MB Recovery partition
and the fifth is 1840.62GB Unallocated partition
All I did was split the disk in half and now I have all this other stuff. Can this disk be combined or am I stuck with what I got? This used to be easy but now I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Post a screen shot of Disk Management, spread out, so we can see everything...

To post a screenshot on this forum...​

1. Take the screenshot, edit it as desired, save to your desktop as .png or .jpg (max. size = 2MB)
2. Left click in your post, where you want to place the screenshot.
3. Click the Attach Files button at lower left, browse to your pic and click Insert.
4. After clicking Insert, I usually choose the Thumbnail (smaller) option, or the Full Image (larger) option.

What @Ghot said. Also, a Windows drive can have 3 to 5 partitions on it and some will be small, less that 1GB. Changing the partitions can be filled with difficulties. Best way usually is to install on a fully clean drive, if repurposing a drive best to delete all partitions first. I use a drive dock for doing that. Some partitions may not be removable by Windows so I use a different program for that.

A default drive with GPT architecture has 4 partitions:

System | MSR | Windows | Recovery

Upgrades from older versions of Windows had had a recovery partition as the first partition.

The orphaned recovery can be deleted but it adds minimal space (< 1 GB).

You still have 2 "drives" albeit on the same drive

This is the normal/usual Windows installation configuration. But you could delete the "last" recovery partition (693MB).

You still have the "second" drive (partition) intact but unallocated

My reco ....
- image the drive in its current format, warts and all. To be doubley cautious, do a Macrium Reflect image and an AOMEI Backupper image (both freeware)
- using something like Minitool Partition Wizard (much more easier for the uninitiated than other non GUI/graphic options), delete the last recovery partition and extend the C drive for the resultant unallocated space

NOTE The 2 "leading" partitions (Recovery andr EFI) are system required. Don't do nuffink to or wiv either of them.
