I'm trying to determine what's causing a black bar that's showing towards the top of certain images, just for reference I'm enclosing a screenshot of what I'm currently seeing. Thanks in advance for any & all help that might be provided.brave_screenshot_www.msnbc.com.png

Those are "Snap Layouts" or "Snap Assist"

Thanks everyone for all of your responses, now I'm wondering if it's actually an issue with my computer. A short time ago I needed to perform a 'Reset This PC' function, it seems like I remember utilizing a registry cleaner that I thought was a well respected one but evidently it wasn't.

You can always do an In-Place upgrade which will fix Windows problems...

Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.


The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

Ghot,
I'm thinking that's the option that I should have chosen instead of the method I chose to use, I did in fact download the latest ISO Image, but then I used rufus 3.21 to prepare the iso file for installation. The main reason for going that route is the fact that I have windows 11 pro 64-bit installed on what microsoft classifies as a 'unsupported' computer that doesn't have either tpm 2.0 or secure boot enabled.

Since I don't have an MSNBC login, the site eventually blocked me from testing but you know what I think that it...the picture in picture bar. Before it blocked me, the site was playing with a dark background and ONCE when I clicked picture in picture there was definitely a darker line through the screen.

But I'll be the first to admit there are members in here who are a lot smarter than I am, as far as having a msnbc login, I'm able to utilize my tv provider to access msnbc live feed. I'm typing this reply while using the brave browser as I really like using it because it's got so many great features & settings included with it.

So maybe the issue might possibly be with my computer after all, but now I'm not really sure as to what to do about correcting it. Earlier this morning I performed both the sfc /scannow command as well as the DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command in administrator mode hoping that might possibly correct my issue.

Hi Edwin,
Upon pressing the F12 key to open the developer options I'm presented with a page loaded with a LOT of various errors of all different kinds, and being honest with you I'm not intelligent enough to understand what all of that javascript language means. So I wouldn't know what to do to correct the errors on this particular page that I enjoy viewing everyday. Once again I'm enclosing another screenshot with the developer page showing, thanks again for your patience and efforts in trying to help me with this issue.

Just a quick update concerning the issue that I first posted in my original message, I decided to install the latest version of the firefox 64-bit browser to see if the black bar that I'm still seeing in the other chromium based browser's I've got installed on my hp desktop. Now I'm really confused as to what's causing this black bar to appear on this website: https://www.msnbc.com/live?icid=tve-mini-tease ? Once again I'm enclosing a screenshot while using the firefox browser, I still think there has to be a solution for my issue, but so far I haven't been able to find it.
