vertical tabs for Chrome and Edge which ones always work?

I have installed 3 so far, and some even though autohide is set, do not appear when mouse is pushed far left.
Some work except on the chrome web store page.
So which one works all the time like it should?
Some wont work unless you click the vertical tab icon

All mine work, maybe check your settings or something

This one was working in chrome, now nothing.

I just installed 5 vertical tabs extensions in chrome today. I was thinking turn them on and off onm the manage extension page, but they all are a problematic

The issue is, it works in edge, and does not work in chrome after installing it in edge.
I dont know what else to say about it. This is refering to the one I linked

I love how it works for some people, I get it. So which one is working for you in chrome and edge at the same time?

The built in one for Edge works for me just fine. I've not really found one for Chrome that works the way I want it to. In Firefox, I found one that works well also.

I was reading it is experimental in Edge, but when I try to find in the flags, it does not exist?

I just discovered why it stopped working in Chrome. I have 30 tabs open. If a chrome web store page is running in a tab, the vertical tab extension wont work. I closed the chrome web store page, and now the extension works in chrome. I had read that, but I thought this was only true if it had the focus being the active tab.

It's not experimental - I search for vertical and it shows

Ok, also found out, the extension does not work if it open a new tab and it has the focus, in EDGE
Now that is very annoying.

ok, I agree, found it and turned it on and, I honestly dont like it. It removes the top tabs bar and just puts it on the side.
It looks like the tab bar remains always on screen at the left.

Here is the extension I linked working in Edge, and it does also work in chrome too
Push mouse to left, a side window opens with all the tabs in a list, pull mouse away from left side, it vanishes.

same in chrome
So I will stick with this one for now as I figured it out.

The little < (at the top right of the tab bar) allows you to minimize it to a very slim bar only showing icons. When you hover over it it expands.

As for showing tabs at the top *and* on the side - uh....sorry, can't help there. I only want them on the side, not both places, that is a waste of real estate to me.

I just installed the extension on the Dell laptop running 11, and it was a real pain to get it to work.
After the install, it refused to appear on both chrome and edge when you mouse over, and clicking tabs at the top randomly it would appear on the left on its own initiative.
Even clicking the little setting icon when it is showing the tabs and set to autohide did not help it. What finally configured it in edge was to force display its icon on the address bar, and then click the icon on the address bar to open the extension, then go to the little settings icon in the extension and select deselect the auto hide feature. Now it is working fine. And somehow it decided to work in chrome. It seems to have initialization issues, at least my experience.

yeah, but the extension display of tabs goes away when you mouse away from the far left of the screen, it only temporarily takes up screen space, like when you want to view the open tabs in a list.

Still not working well in chrome. Sometimes you mouse over to the left, the web page moves right like it should, and the extension does not appear at all, just a lot of white space.

I just changed the setting to not slide the web page to the right, maybe that will help

nope, I am on my laptop, and it is refusing to open the extension and show the tabs. I only have 16 tabs open on edge now.
This extension sucks, will have to try a different one

This one immediately worked only thing is you have to click its icon on the task bar for it to work, no popup window on the left on a mouse over
