Windows 11
Hi. I'm having a pretty intense issue with my desktop right now.

There's a program I have for Win11, to replace the windows' round corners with square ones. Not a very recent download; I've had it for a few months or so. I went to run it because I noticed my windows had been made round again, but I think I accidentally ran the program twice. Now whenever I sign in, I can't see anything (aside from a single-frame flicker every couple seconds), I can't click anything, I can't seem to ALT-TAB anywhere... I notification keeps popping up saying "Your session was logged off because DWM crashed. Please contact your administrator for further information and check the event log," but it's never highlighted. I managed to open the task manager one time with CTRL-SHIFT-ESC, but I didn't have nearly enough time to do anything with it. After about a minute or two, it signs me out automatically.

Is there some way I can start up or sign in without unnecessary programs running immediately? Or is there something else I can do to get around this?

(Sorry about not having the Windows Build listed. I don't really pay much attention to it, and it's kinda difficult to get that info now.)

Thank you for responding. Everything seems to be back to normal now!

I tried Safe Mode and Safe Mode With Command Prompt. Safe Mode showed no difference, but Safe Mode With Command Prompt worked just fine. I had a look at start-up applications, and I didn't see anything relating to the program I ran, so I figured it wasn't so much a program in my way, but messed up crucial files.

Following a guide from where I downloaded it on how to uninstall the program and restore round corners, I tried running "sfc /scannow" into the command prompt. I've rebooted now and, as I said before, everything seems to be A-okay. So thank you again very much for your swift response. 😊

I wasn't keeping it a 'secret'; I just wasn't sure coming on here what the expectations were, and I figured if you guys needed to know you would ask.

It's just called "Win11DisableRoundedCorners", or "Win11DisableOrRestoreRoundedCorners" for the actual exe.

They don't hurt as much, when you bump into them. 8-)

I like them too!
And I've noticed that windows with rounded corners slide more easily when you move them around the screen.
