Change default Icon folder

I want to change many icons in my music collection. When I click "properties/customize/change icon" I get taken to "%systemroot%system32\shell32.dll". This seems to be the default icons library.
What I want to do is make the change icon button point to C:/icons which is my own, much better, collection of icons.
Any help, please?

Thank you for your reply .
I am aware that I can use the browse button in %systemroot%system32\shell32.dll so as to gain access to my desired icon folder (C:/Icons).
What I want to try and acheive is to make the "change Icon" button in the folder properties window take me straight to C:/icons instead of having to go to %systemroot%system32\shell32.dll and then having to browse for it from there.
I appreciate it is not much effort to browse from %systemroot%system32\shell32.dll, but i have many hundred of icons to change and I am trying to simplify matters. Further, I never use any of the icons in %systemroot%system32\shell32.dll, so i could really use a fix to bypass it.
In my limited knowledge I think there might be a registry fix?

Thanks again

Dave

I'm updating Win 10 at the moment. From memory if you copy and paste your icons location in the box and click ok then the next time you open it, it will be for that location. You'll need to do the same after a new boot but it remains for that session. Will check out later.
Edit,nope not working in Win 10 :(
