Get Snipping Tool to Open Maximized?

I'd like to open Snipping Tool in a Maximized Window. But when I right-click on it in the taskbar, there's no way to get to its Properties and set that.

Help?

This is a really stupid design from MS which irritates me too!

Hopefully the next version does something about this app because it seems to be causing confusion and issues for a lot of people.

I just tried the keyboard shortcut :
Press Windows logo key + Shift + S
try that.

OK, I just tried it again and it opened to full screen. The whole screen went dim
and I was able to take the little cross and capture any part of the screen i wanted.

I'm not being clear. It captures screenshots just fine.

When you hit the Win+Shift+S - yes, you get the dim screen and the little tab at the top of your screen. BEFORE you do anything, look at your Taskbar. It's the same as it was before you hit Win+Shift+S.

Then when you take the shot - whether it's a grab or a whole window - another window pops up in the lower right corner, showing you that it took the pic. Then when you click on THAT, it launches the "Snipping Tool" application.

THAT does not launch Maximized. Once you've launched the "Snipping Tool" application, a little icon appears on your taskbar.

In all (but one) of the software I use, if I right-click on the taskbar icon, then right-click on the name of the software, I can select "Properties" and tell it to open only in Maximized. BUT NOT SNIPPING TOOL.

You canNOT change the Windows properties of the Snipping Tool program.

And THAT'S what I'm talking about.

I just tried 40 different ways to get this to open maximized, I created shortcuts, ran them as admin, ran them in compatibility modes, every combination of all the mentioned, made it breakfast and bought it roses and I still couldn't get this app to run maximized.

It's a stubborn pain the the butt.

When I took the screen from my last post, I never got a popup nor do I get the snip tool all I have is the screenshot
in my screenshot folder. I do have the little popup in the upper middle of the screen when it goes dim and I can grab any part of
of the screen I want but, I don't have all the other stuff you're talking about. it just comes back as a normal screen once I have
grabbed what i want. And yes, I do understand what you want the program to do. Don't know it's possible the way you would
like it to behave.

Many complaining about this also. I do get the fly out/popup on bottom right of screen above notifications. I click on that and the screen snip opens in sniping tool. The snip also simultaneously saves into screenshot folder.

There's also the fact that I use StartAllback and my taskbar is at the top of the screen and hidden. Maybe that's why I don't get all
the other stuff you people are getting.
To tell you the truth, I use Screenpresso and Cropper Capture.

Now stop slacking and work harder to fix my problems, unpaid stranger on the internet!

I think MS just seems to think that options like Remember Window State are not important to users!
Either that, or they don't give a !

Snipping Tool is a poor excuse of a utility of it's like!
Minimal convoluted functionality, minimal markup options, minimal settings!

What is that you are using to see those options?
