I saved your update for a later time. I did a work around and I think it working. My important thing seeeing color and the yellow folder Thank you so much for your suggestion, I will keep the reccomendation for the fix and , If this blows up on me again then I will implement your update.

You are right!

It seems, that currently even the Customize Chrome Side Panel alone is sufficient to see the yellow bookmark folders:

At least in my Google Chrome v123.0.6312.59 this is the only manually Disabled flag now.
(Or is this just a "side effect" from a previously Disabled Flag?)

Can you please test and confirm this?

You don't have to type the flag text "Customize Chrome Side Panel" manually. Just click on this URL ;-)
chrome://flags/#customize-chrome-side-panel
and click on the Disable button.

Unfortunately, the forum software don't let us create a URL without http: in front...
You would have to copy & paste it.
