Mistakenly deleted profile in Chrome. How to get it back ?

Hey guys,

Mistakenly deleted profile in Chrome. How to get it back ?

I have tried restore previous versions but didnt found any previous version.

Edit: Downloaded Shadow Explorer 0.9 and got the Default folder and last update was on 09 December 2023 but Profile is not showing in Chrome.

Need help asap so pissed off.

you can try system restore, but without a backup... its most likely gone. try to right click that parent folder and look for previous versions before running system restore...

Yes its opening but without bookmarks, history, etc.

Do you have another browser you could import the history and bookmarks from?

If system restore didn’t work and you don’t have a cloned image for backup, you’re out of luck. And the more you try messing with stuff the more you overwrite any files that may be recoverable. You can try recovery software but for your best bet you’ll need to run it from a usb or bootable drive so as to not overwrite anything more during installation of said program.

why don't you sign in to your google account again? You may revert all of your profile by synchronization.

Firefox but it have other bookmarks, history, etc

If you were signed into chrome with a google account it syncs so just sign back in and it should come back.

Did you try going into Settings, checking that sync is ON (says Turn Off), and opening Review your synced data?

@dacrone is right. If you have no Restore point and no backup and nothing synced, your only remaining chance (a slim one or a FAT one) is a file recovery program like Recuva, downloaded to a USB stick and run from there. Good luck. You'll need it.

I think I'd just start over with a fresh install of Chrome (and learn from my experience).
