Windows 10
Hi guys.
A guy sold me a notebook with W11 installed but I can not boot into Windows.
It requires Microsoft account information (password) which I don't know and I can not seem to find a way to login to Windows without password.
Is there such a way, and how to?
How can I try to login with my account info?

Hello, :alien:

In this situation, it may be best to reset Windows 11 at boot using option one below with "Remove everything". This way you will start fresh, and can set it up with your account.,

I have no intention of accusing anyone of anything, but how do you deal with requests that could involve trying to take ownership of a stolen laptop?

If you know for sure it's stolen, then report the post. We'll ban the member for breach of forum rules.

One thing we should never do is help to break into the PC or show passwords. Best to point to reset or clean install if you don't think it's stolen.

The laptop is not stolen, it was used by a guy who sold me.
I got again to Microsoft login form which I don't know on how to bypass.
I will reformat and install W10.
This crap is too weak for W11.

Nothing like that was intended. As I said. I'm not into innuendo.

I apologize. I should have worded the question more carefully.

I was just wondering how the forum protected itself. Basically, it relies on the good faith of the poster.

I have no reason at all to doubt that you acquired the laptop legitimately. It's too bad that the seller didn't set it up properly for you.

By the way, I doubt that you'd see a performance difference between 11 and 10. If you do, please post back.

Battery is so depleted that probably it would not last W10 install.
I need to plug in USB type A to micro to it's power port, so I can not use charger while installing.
So I had tog skip W10 installation.
The laptop is very old Lenovo Yoga book.

Doesn't W11 use more resources on PC then W10 and requires more RAM, better CPU?
So I had to boot to W11 after setup.

Boy this W11 is full of cr...p. advertising, some dumb protection etc etc...I'd rather switch to W10, if I could, but probably battery would not last install process.

Disable SmartApp Control first, it is the most annoying feature which blocks many legitimate apps/games.
Then run CMD and copy/paste code, to disable suggestions and auto-install of "useful" apps.

I did ran Win Debloater.
That is 3 years old, SmartApp did not exist back then, it is also a separate feature so disabling Defender does not affect it.

Okay, will do it...will it disable smart pin prompt at boot?
No, it is best to use a local account for an automatic login though.

I was unable to install custom Win 10/11 due to touch screen not working at boot from USB.
Is there a way to free up some space, by removing not needed apps or smth inside Win 11?
Out of 64GB of storage, I have free only 37.5 GB, and I am sure it would work snappier with more free space.
