I have been plagued with Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) event over the last week which has been growing in # and frequency, causing me a lot of frustration because I don't know yet know how to fix it.
The shut down are occurring a lot last night and this morning which is making it difficult for me to maintain a connection, so I am creating this thread in with Sticky Notes.
The shut down that are occurring out of no where without having any specific programs running, or at least none that I am aware of. I am new to owning a PC and built in my mid life crisis phase, I am excited to finally be able to afford a nice computer and not suffer from a slow loading computer that is out dated.
This week I wanted to learn about Overclocking and gaining FPS in a heavily modded Skyrim game,
This week I downloaded some monitoring software such as: HWinfo, Prime 95, and Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Previously I had downloaded MSI Afterburner and AMD Adrenalin.
The first thing program I interacted with was AMD Adrenalin, I found a tab that allowed Adrenaline to set an OC' session, having no experience that was interesting to me. If I remember correctly this is where my first BSOD occurred. *Note, I had several BSOD's over the past 2 months, that I either fixed or semi fixed, so that it wouldn't occur too often. When the BSOD occurred I put the settings back to Normal. Then learned how to do a Cinebench, the computer passed. I then worked with the Intel Extereme Tuning Utility and ran a 30 minute, CPU Stress Test, CPU Test with AVX, CPU Test with AVX2. All passed with no crashes. That was in the beginning of the week Sunday/Monday -- Towards the end of the week BSOD's have got worst. I thought it could be AMD Adrenalin, I removed the program. No fix. Can someone please help me, below are some details.
I am using Windows 11 Version 22h2 (OS Build 22621.1635)
I've logged these errrors from EventViewer:
Event 161 volmgr
Event 162 volmgr
Event 16, BTHUSB
Error:
fEvent 1001, BugCheck
Event 11, Stornvme
The driver detected a controller error on
Event 6147 LSA (LsaSrv)
Event 6155 LSA (LsaSrv)
CRITICAL
Event 41 Kernel-Power
Warning
Event 10016, Distributed COM
