Hello everyone,

I'm having annoying BSOD on my brand new computer under windows 11 (disapointing honnestly...)...
Mainly few minutes after the windows start ... but not only...

I ran the V2 log collector and tried to read the dump using windbg .. I supsect the network drivers or so ...
STIM-MONSTER-(2023-08-18_19-24-24).zip - Google Drive

I had issues few weeks ago with the lan, I had small / short deconnections... so that I installed the latest driver on the Asus web sites and it solved this issue ...

I note that after the BSOD and the reboot, I'm not having any BSOD anymore...

Many thanks

Hello Zbook,

Here is the Tuneup log file :

Many thanks for your time and advices ! However I have few questions:

- Uninstalling Kaspersky is ok, but no reinstall ? meaning, Antivirus are useless with Windows 10 or 11 ?

- How can I reinstall the PCI Express Network Connection NetAdapter Driver ? When I try to install it choosing this path, windows is telling me that the latest version in already installed, do I need to uninstall and then reinstall it manually ?

Thanks again

During the troubleshooting please use Microsoft defender.

The Kaspersky antivirus software drivers were misbehaving so the software was uninstalled.

Drivers can be uninstalled then reinstalled.

Ok I uninstalled and installed the Network drivers

About your questions:
When were the current RAM modules installed? Since the beginning, when the PC was built in feb 2023
Were there at any time other RAM modules in use? No, I didn't touch the RAM, I just modified the frequency from 4000 (If I remember well) to the 5600MHz they are supposed to run ...

About the crucial website analysis ... It seems that it doesn't work as the sysprofile.htm file generated loop again and again with this message:

There may be malfunctioning RAM.

I also suspect that RAM may be the root cause here. The dumps show that the BSOD occurred for different reasons, we have different bugcheck codes and generally different operations in progress. Although some third-party drivers are referenced in some dumps, I don't think that this is a driver problem but RAM. This is supported by one of the bugcheck codes being an UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION, that strongly suggests a RAM issue.

I would test your RAM now. Memtest86 is my goto RAM tester but others may have different suggestions. Don't trust the Windows memory diagnostic though, it's not very thorough,.

Same with "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA" stop code. (That's what "50" is)

"MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" is also believed to be RAM corruption, most likely.

Hello Guys,

No more BSOD as we speak, I did not change the RAM or anything, only did what Zbook told me to do in its first post :)
Keeping finger crossed
I think that my RAM is still under warranty (should be 2 years minimum I guess)
I will do the the memtest86 test anyway
But clearly will do the BIOS update if I have new BSOD ...

Thanks again guys
keep you posted

The last BSOD recorded in the log files and the last unexpected shutdown and restart were on 08/18/2023.

1) Please make free backup images and save the images to another disk drive or the cloud.

(Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)

2) Test the RAM using Memtest 86+for eight or more continuous passes

The more the passes the better the testing conditions.

It sometimes takes passes into the twenties to find malfunctioning RAM.

Plan 1 - 2 hrs / GB RAM.

And plan to run a substantial portion of the testing overnight while sleeping.

The RAM modules can be tested at the same time or one module at a time in the same DIMM.

Just one error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.

Take pictures > post images or share links into this thread.

3) Run the Crucial scanner to view some RAM replacement options (as needed): (check again the warranty status for CMK32GX5M2B5600C36 )

Hi Zbook

Thanks for the advice, Why backuping my windows ? is there any risk to do that ?
I have an Aomei license so it should be fine...

About MemTest86 I downloaded the free version and it's limited to 4 passes :( I need the pro version to run more than 4 ...
The price of the pro license represent 50$ and my 2X16 RAM costs 100, so I'm torn ...
However I ran a test with 4 and no issue detected... but as you said 8 passes minimum ...

About Crucial System scanner, it seems that neither firefox or edge are ok with this sysprofile.htm file ...still stuck on the page with the message sending ads while 'finding compatible stuff'...

The backup image is to allow the restore option for a step.

The drive files will be modified to see if it becomes easier to detect malfunctioning RAM.

Memtest86+ allows unlimited passes as compared to Memtest86.

My bad, you're so precise and I don't follow your links

Ok so I'll do the backup as soon as I get the software link back (It was on my previous PC...)

I'll follow the steps for the memtext86+, but 32 to 64 hours for this test seems a lot to me :eek1: I won't be able to playyyyyyyy o_O
I will plan it anyway ^^

Thanks again

Another option is to test one module at a time in the same DIMM.

Yes it will reduce the time spent by half :)
Does the time for tests depend on RAM frequency or so ?

I'm not aware of any step that could alter the third party software testing time.

If just one error appears then testing can be aborted.

Hi Zbook

Just launched memtest86+
The menu is clearly not similar to what I see in your link
IMG_3833.jpeg
It seems I can’t choose the number of pass
IMG_3835.jpeg

Moreover memtest86 is considering my RAM as ddr5 4800 whereas I bought 5600…
I mentioned that when I received my PC, the RAM was setup as 4800 in the bios… so I changed it to 5600 as I thought it was the case …
Can it be the explanation ??? Does the frequency shown on the RAM (name and invoice…) can be different than the reality ???

Anyway I will let the tool do its job during the night …
