I have read the tutorial on enabling or disabling Copilot, but I would prefer removing it all together. Does anyone know how, if it is possible?

I'm on 23H2 and as far as I can tell... I don't "have" Copilot.
I'm on a LOCAL account, and in the following registry patch to "disable" Copilot, I don't even have the WindowsCopilot (key)...

Copilot is not an actual app or program, it is just a subset of Edge pointing to the GPT search engine via Bing.
Use the .reg entry above if you do not want to see it.

You can even start on most versions using:

%windir%\explorer.exe "microsoft-edge:///?ux=copilot&tcp=1&source=taskbar"

As I mentioned above, I don't have Copilot but I also don't have a Microsoft account associated with Windows 11.
I have EDGE blocked in my firewall as well.

Even when I use the reg patch to enable Copilot... I don't have it.

I've also completely removed tons of MS Apps, which I'd imagine is also adding to my lack of Copilot...

My best guess, is that since I've consistently removed all the MS Windows Apps, and disabled most of the MS things I don't want, I've made it very difficult for MS to get Copilot working on my computer.
If I hadn't been doing things like this, since I installed Win 11... I would just disable Copilot. :-)


My computer doesn't even "look" like I have Windows 11.
I keep seeing these suspicious looking black SUVs with license plates like MS1 and MS2, cruising up and down the street. :D
