Check Kaspersky. it's probably blocking MS store or EDGE or both.

I use Bitdefender, and have it's firewall set to "block all", except what I allow.
MS Store being blocked by BD firewall generates this error: 0x80131500
When I refresh, I don't get the other error you mentioned. I just get the same error again.

I know MS Store works on my comp.

So... when I try to use MS Store I have to allow...
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_22204.1400.4.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\WinStore.App.exe
You may also need to allow... C:\Windows\System32\taskhostw.exe

Image1.jpg

If Kaspersky is not causing the errors... then you may have to "fix" Microsoft Store.

Other things that may help...

Open a command prompt as Admin, and run.... sfc /scannow

If SFC finds any errors (whether it fixes them or not), run... Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I had that before too. Reason appeared to be, that for privacy reasons (and because I thought I did not need te store) I had disabled the service "Microsoft Store Installation Service" (servicename "InstallService"). After setting that to manual it was possible again to reach the store.

You could have a look in your services, type services.msc in the Run Window.
Of course it can have another reason, but checking that cost you a few minutes.

Kaspersky must have changed something in the background, as I deleted it, and now MS Store works.

I also had a similar problem with Epic Launcher and Steam Launcher (the little "buy this" box), but games still worked. Fixed that.

Oh well, goodbuy Kaspersky.

If your version of Kaspersky does have a firewall, then that is where I'd look.
As I mentioned... I know that WinStore.App.exe has to has internet access for MS Store to work.
