Question: why are Bluetooth devices not connecting?
Current broken functionality: The Settings Bluetooth page is not connecting THREE devices (headphone, earphone, Android phone) at all. 'Remove device' function not working; never seen that. Clicking "Connect" immediately goes to "That's not working" in every case; didn't bother with a timeout. Apps listing was loading almost not at all. This seems to be continuing problems of all kinds with the Settings app functionality.
Actions taken:
1) Safe Mode with Command Prompt (no networking): chkdsk, dism, sfc no problem reports
2) Malware checks with Windows Security, Malwarebytes no problem now or going way back
3) Win11 troubleshooters run
4) (a) Device Manager no exclamation point icons. Window Update, all current; Drivers current (according to Intel Assistant)
5) Event Viewer, numerous errors, but hard to determine if related. (Need to set a filter that is optimal for all subsystem or system components that target system slowness)
Network functionality status [* disabled until extreme system slowness causes identified step by step]:
1) OneDrive to company site syncing
2) Plex media server uninstalled. [*]
3) All synced Google drives (assigned letter drives) paused. [*]
Several weeks earlier, Windows Hello/Signon functionality was completely broken and attempts to fix never worked. Then one night, the system must have updated and the issues were gone.
Win 11 SSD system slowness as bad or worse than the Vista with 5000 rpm spinning HDD days.
