Solved USB showing?

Possible. If using Mount on an .iso image file it will appear as a drive in File Explorer.

Any specific tests you would suggest...
Thanks.

...but now an empty G USB is seen ONLY when type C is attached...
Maybe something in the firmware of the USB C hub, that makes it show as ready, as a ghost drive? 🤷‍♂️

I gotta wrap it kids! I've been up for 20 hours!

@Alexey2912

I have a 16GB USB stick that I have the Macrium bootable media on. It's not plugged in to a USB port right now.
I just opened Device Manager and chose: View > Show Hidden devices.

If you notice in the pic below ( the two RED dots), Device Manager still has greyed out icons from when I last used the USB stick.
Now I don't still see the USB stick in File Explorer, but I always "eject" the stick before I remove it.

Anyway, deleting the greyed out icons in Device Manager, may solve the problem you're having??

@Ghot ,

Thanks for replying.

I did all that possibly struck to my mind, which might be a reason for showing this non existent "G" drive.

Like:

1. In BIOS boot options, deleted all, except the default 3.

2. Uninstalled apps like NTLite, VMware player, reason that I mounted a drive back in June/July when the member wanted to customize running W11, had to mount.

But still the same, no change. Posting screen captures for your expert views.

You can always use Winaero to hide that drive. Whichever box you check mark, gets hidden.

You'll still be able to type the address of the G: drive in the address bar, if you need to access it for some reason.
Or maybe plug that USB stick back in, then make sure to Eject it, down in the System Tray overflow menu?

On the Hide Drives page, just put a check mark in the G: drive

I did. Thanks.

PS: Winaero did hide the G drive, which only appears when type C adaptor is connected. I am at a loss, confused why does G (non existent is showing when is connected...…..tried almost everything apart from a clean install. Well some day a trick might work...…keeping fingers crossed.

Now well created a full backup and install Rectify.

I should migrate/create downloads, documents, pics, music, vids on empty 200 GB Data vs on Active W11 C...….don't you agree?
